Service description
Haeckel is a genomic intelligence platform that analyzes user-uploaded DNA data to surface ancestry, health, trait, pharmacogenomic, nutrigenomic, and evolutionary insights through an AI-powered conversational interface and visualizations. All analysis is statistical and non-clinical.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use Haeckel. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when you sign up and to keep it current.
Your data, your responsibility
You retain ownership of the genomic data you upload. You represent that you have the right to upload the data and that, where the data belongs to or describes another identifiable person, you have their explicit informed consent. You agree not to use Haeckel for discriminatory purposes or for any unlawful activity.
Non-clinical use
Haeckel is not a medical device and does not provide clinical diagnoses, prescriptions, or treatment plans. All outputs are educational and informational. Decisions about medications, procedures, or therapies must be made with a qualified healthcare professional. Haeckel is not a substitute for clinical genetic counseling.
AI-generated content
Mirror and the AI Candidate Finder use third-party language models (Anthropic Claude) and embedding models (OpenAI text-embedding-3-small) to generate explanations and recommendations. AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated. Treat AI responses as a starting point, not a final answer.
Intellectual property
You retain ownership of your raw genomic data and any content you author. Haeckel retains all rights to the platform, the analysis pipeline, the visualizations, and the underlying code. Insights generated for you are licensed for your personal, non-commercial use.
Limitation of liability
Haeckel is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Haeckel and Heru Genomics are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions made in reliance on platform output. Aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months preceding any claim.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Account deletion triggers removal of associated genomic files, results, and embeddings within 30 days. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that pose a security risk to other users.
